Resolution
There is a common misconception that when you design large format graphics, you must increase the dpi of the image you are creating. This is not always the case.
The large format printing industry preys on the human eye's ability to fool itself on a regular basis. From color and tone to distance and perspective, our eyes play tricks on us all the time and we don't even know it.
Take for instance designing for a business card Vs. designing for a banner being hung over your canopy on the entrance to your business. When you start designing something that will be seen at a distance of 3-5 feet, you want those images to be crisp and clear, so you would use 150 - 300dpi when designing. When you design the banner above your door, it doesn't matter if your images are crisp, as your viewer will be more than 10 feet away. If it is slightly fuzzy up close, it doesn't mean it will be fuzzy when viewed form a distance.
